The project involves ongoing improvements to the City of Brandon’s wastewater systems. Stockwell designed a 3,200 gallon per minute lift station which has recently been constructed and put into service.
The facility consists of flow metering, bar screens, wet well, dry well, pump building and odor control. The facility is designed to pump wastewater to the Sioux Falls Wastewater Reclamation Facility and replaces the need for the current lagoon treatment system.
The ponds are currently being decommissioned, which involves the removal and disposal of biosolids as well as regrading the cells to provide flow equalization and storage during high flow events.
