69th Street from Medical Court to Louise Avenue is an arterial corridor within the City of Sioux Falls that acts as a major thoroughfare, providing access to major businesses and institutions such as Avera’s Heart Hospital and Behavioral Health systems. The project included reconstructing the roadway to a 4 lane section with a landscape divided median. Two new traffic signals were designed by Stockwell staff at the locations of Beal Avenue and Mogen Avenue. A 7’ by 8’ reinforced concrete box culvert was designed to convey major storm waters under the roadway and into the Regional BMP facility downstream. Numerous meetings with landowners were required and coordinated by Stockwell staff to acquire the necessary right of way and easements to complete the project. This recently completed project with Stockwell Engineer’s displays our dedication to clients by provided comprehensive services that includes preliminary and final design, hydrological and hydraulic analysis, construction staking, and construction administration.
